We were approached to not only to use our branding skills to design a logo for this new local
retailer but also to deploy our full range of services to deliver a fully integrated launch campaign
and ongoing marketing strategy.
Our brief involved changing over the inherited Stones the Jewellers store into the new owners more
upmarket Carl Christopher brand name. We designed a new logo that would work across the many and
varied sized customer touchpoints from external and internal signage / graphics to customer bags,
receipt holders, stationery, and jewellery boxes.
A full audit was undertaken to identify and specify all the new Carl Christopher branded items
required from the external back lit signage to internal store graphics, all customer point-of-sale
items from bags to receipt holders, branded jewellery boxes, branded price tags etc.
A fully worked up launch plan timed to allow all these items to be designed, produced, and delivered
was formulated with over a dozen different individual branded items sourced from specialist
suppliers with differing lead times ranging from eight weeks to two weeks all perfectly timed to hit
one specific deadline changeover and launch day!
Whilst the new branding and design work was on going to fit out and launch the new store, we were
also commissioned to design and build a brand-new ecommerce site for the client to again be ready
for their launch day. This involved building a site which would showcase the clients own 18ct
jewellery which also included us shooting and retouching over a hundred individual pieces. We also
integrated their other branded jewellery products which involved liaising with their respective
suppliers to source photography, product details and import over 500 individual products.
The fully responsive site was designed to reflect the new Carl Christopher brand values as an
upmarket fine jeweller with a clean layout adopted for their product categories, brands, 18ct
jewellery as well as accommodate future planned content enhancements to the E-news and blog areas as
well as deliver seasonal campaigns.
We also embarked on an awareness campaign to launch the new brand into Lytham which involved
establishing new social media channels and the design and rollout of social posts and content to an
agreed marketing plan.
A range of bespoke digital marketing content for their window screens was also designed allowing a
variety of visual campaigns to be played to passing footfall. These ranged from bespoke Carl
Christopher sequences to branded jewellery videos and accompanying messaging.
Our work is currently ongoing with the client, and due to the success of our launch work, we have
also been commissioned to produce a fully integrated Christmas campaign involving shop dressing and
decoration, Christmas brochure design and production plus mail delivery to over 10,000 local
targeted addresses, a digital billboard campaign and online social customer competition giveaway.
